Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) has participated in the Knowledge Summit 2019.
The summit is a global knowledge platform to exchange expertise and build knowledge-based societies, and was held at Dubai World Trade Centre with the theme ‘Knowledge: The path to sustainable development.’
“DEWA supports the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to enhance sustainable development in the UAE,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
“We cooperate with different national and international organisations to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030; the UAE Centennial 2071 to make the UAE the best country in the world by 2071; and the UAE Vision 2021.
“We are glad to participate in the Knowledge Summit which emphasises Dubai’s commitment to playing a key role in strengthening methods of disseminating, transferring and localising knowledge in the Arab World, to build a society and an economy based on knowledge.
“This makes Dubai a city of the future and enhances its position as a global hub and a knowledge-based economy.”
DEWA has numerous programmes and initiatives that support knowledge, such as the Maarefa smart Platform to determine the knowledge of its employees.
It is a knowledge bank that brings employees’ knowledge and expertise together, and enables them to directly communicate with each other to enhance knowledge exchange.
DEWA also provides knowledge services through its Khadamatech platform.
This includes requests for buying knowledge resources, iAsk reference and research, membership on LinkedIn’s educational page, and brand review.
