Dubai Water & Electricity Authority (DEWA) showcased a total of 34 projects and smart initiatives during its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2019.
Some 24 were being demonstrated for the first time, and included the authority’s Smart Response Service, which boasts features such as self-diagnosis of power and water interruptions.
It also alerts smart meter customers of high water consumption in case of water leakages.
AI initiatives such as Rammas, a virtual assistant capable of responding in English and Arabic, through DEWA’s website, smart app, Facebook page, Amazon’s Alexa, Google Assistant, robots, and WhatsApp Business platform, was also showcased.
DEWA also shined a light on its industrial robot, which supervises inspections, cleaning, welding and maintenance of transformers quickly and efficiently.
