Projects and facilities in Kuwait were unaffected by tremors resulting from a 5.9-magnitude earthquake in Western Iran, according to the country’s Ministry of Electricity and Water.

State news agency Kuna reported that all ministry facilities were working normally following the quake, the source of which was identified by the Kuwait National Seismic Network, part of the Institute of Scientific Research.

In another report Kuwait Fire Service Directorate did, however, confirm that some properties had suffered damage.

Additionally, Kuwait’s Interior Ministry said that while it received reports of injuries, none resulted in any losses or damages.
