Real estate investment advisory firm JLL was appointed as an advisor for the development of the latest cultural attraction in Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Watan, a cultural landmark housed within the presidential compound.
Qasr Al Watan will offer visitors the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the UAE’s governing traditions and values, as well as the role that the UAE continues to play in shaping the future of the nation. The new landmark will also attract visitors to explore the well-preserved intellectual legacy of the Arab world, and its contributions to various fields of knowledge.
Launched in March 2019, JLL’s Project, Design and Construction Managers worked on an array of elements including the Visitor Car Park, Public Park, Security Infrastructure, F&B Outlets, Retail Outlets, Visitor Centre, Public Library, Exhibit Installations and a 3D Mapped Projection, Light and Sound Show.
Benjamin Jackson, head of project development services MENA at JLL, said: “JLL is committed to supporting the UAE’s vision and strategic plan in promoting cross-cultural dialogue and intellectual empowerment across the Middle East. Abu Dhabi is a vibrant, fast developing city of the future – one that is set to significantly enhance the UAE’s position as a global tourist destination. We are therefore delighted to have worked on this exciting project.
