Emaar Properties is close to completing the full refurbishment of its prestigious hotel, Address Dubai Mall, in Downtown Dubai.
After reopening the hotel with the Phase One launch of the revitalised and renewed design during the last quarter of 2018, the final phase is now drawing to a close.
Linked directly to The Dubai Mall, the hotel’s initial design was delivered in March 2017 by Meyer Davis Studio, New York. SSH was contracted to formulate a proposed design to meet the client's budget and timeline constraints in a two-phase programme: Three months' full shutdown of public areas and partial guestroom refurbishment and three months' partial shutdown to complete guestroom upgrade floor-by-floor
SSH Interior Design division is responsible for the refurbishment of public areas, guestrooms and suites, delivering detailed design and IFC documentation, while co-ordinating with the client and project consultants, and carrying out local sourcing of materials and value engineering.
SSH's scope of services encompass the following: Public Areas: Level 1 – Porte cochere, arrival lobby, reception lobby and lobby lounge; Level 2 – Ballroom, pre-function and meeting rooms; Level 3 – Business centre and meeting rooms. Guestrooms: Levels 4-15 – 243 keys + club lounge.
"On behalf of SSH, we congratulate Emaar and Address Dubai Mall on the full refurbishment of the property," said Michael Byron, resident director – UAE, at SSH. "We're thrilled that Emaar trusted us with the challenge of delivering an innovative and contemporary design within the tight constraints of the project programme. With work nearly complete on the final phase, we hope that the renewed property provides a unique guest experience with all the luxury hallmarks Address hotels are famed for."
