Saudi Arabia's SWCC awards EPC contract for water transmission project

It is being reported that the project is scheduled for completion in late 2021.

Electro-Mechanic Works Company has been awarded a contract to deliver a water transmission pipeline project on behalf of Saudi Arabia's Saline Water Conversion Corporation.

The Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) deal will cover package B1 from Al Khobar to Dammam/Jamiah.

Thomson Reuters Projects reports that the package is valued at $100million, and includes a 24.4-km, 80" diameter single main pipeline from Khobar Pump Station up to Jamiah terminal station; a 4.8km, 80" diameter twin pipeline for Khobar to Dammam/Jaimah and Khobar Hofuf WTS and a 2.1km, 42" diameter single line to Yarmouk.

It was also reported that the project is scheduled for completion in late 2021.
