Construction work has begun at the site of the Russia Pavilion at Expo 2020.

The 'Next Level' spherical structure will be situated in the Mobility District, and has been designed by architects Tchoban Speech and Simpateca Entertainment Group.

Minister of trade and commerce of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, said: “Most of the façade elements will be manufactured using the latest technologies many of which will be used for the first time in the construction of such engineering structures.”

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by the UAE's minister of state for international co-operation and director-general of Expo 2020 Dubai, HE Reem Al Hashimy, as well as the executive director of Expo 2020 Dubai Bureau, Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali.
