2020 means one thing – Expo. Yes, the New Year is finally here. But instead of catching our collective breath after the annual Q4 dash, we are busy charting the next 12 months and the hugely anticipated arrival of the world’s biggest event.
Many of the challenges posed by the construction landscape in 2019 have followed us into this calendar year, but as we take our first few steps into 2020 it is clear that fresh opportunities are ripe for the picking.
It goes without saying that as the countdown ramps up to Expo 2020, more and more eyes will be turning on Dubai – and the contractors, consultants, suppliers, and manufacturers who have helped put together this spectacle.
It’s not a year to be shy and MEP Middle East will continue to tell your stories – of which we are expecting many – and shine a light on the innovation and MEP expertise that has gone into making sure the greatest show on earth lives up to its billing.
There are plenty of other opportunities to hit the headlines with MEP Middle East this year, too.
Readers will be familiar with our Top 20 MEP Consultants of the Year (April) and Top 25 MEP Contractors of the Year (September) power lists, but we’re building on that in 2020 to better recognise the men and women working within the HVAC-R sector.
I’m proud to be launching, for the first time, the MEP HVAC Power 20, debuting in our February edition.
This list will salute the key figures making waves in HVAC; be it as a manufacturer, supplier, fitter, membership body, or lobbying group.
We’re already reading through some of the early nominations and, once again, the passion held by individuals working in this sector is clear to see.
We’ve also got another packed calendar of special reports, exclusive interviews, conferences, and roundtables in the diary, making sure we bring you the latest insights from MEP’s thought leaders, decision makers, and policy shapers.
It’s going to a busy year for all the right reasons and we are glad to have you with us once again – roll on Expo 2020.
