Initiatives in the fields of energy efficiency, environmental preservation, and provision of ideal working conditions for employees topped the agenda during a meeting with the chairman of Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority (SEWA) and Finland’s ambassador to the UAE.
Rashid Al Leem welcomed Marianne Nissila and a number of other foreign delegates to discuss co-operation in scientific research and sustainable energy projects, as well as training of human resources and attracting Finnish companies to participate in infrastructure developments in Sharjah.
State-held news agency Wam reports that Al Leem stressed the distinguished relations between the UAE in general and the Emirate of Sharjah in particular with Finland, which has already resulted in cross-nation collaboration.
During the meeting, Al Leem highlighted SEWA’s efforts in achieving the objectives of Sharjah's strategy for energy sustainability and raising the efficiency of plant production by at least 50%.
The meeting also touched on the authority's smart initiatives to provide the best services to the clients.
