We know 2020 hasn't exactly gone to plan thus far.
Which is why the team behind the annual MEP Awards has opted to extend the deadline for nominations for this year's prizegiving to 5 August.
We want the awards to be an occasion to take stock of all the good that has been done over the past 12 months, on top of the usual cases of excellence that set our deserving award winners apart.
And we appreciate that you may need a little more time than usual to make your submissions given the ongoing impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Editor Tom Oxtoby said: "Calendars have gone out the window for many organisations this year, which is why we have to be flexible with our own.
"The MEP Awards mean very little without the men and women who make this industry such an exciting one to work in, so I'm very pleased to be pushing back the deadline to make sure as many of you as possible are represented at this prizegiving."
This year we will continue to feature a total of 16 categories which are broadly divided into three: people, projects, and companies.
Under companies there are MEP Supplier of the Year, MEP Consultancy of the Year, MEP Contractor of the Year, and Health & Safety Initiative of the Year; under projects there are GCC Project of the Year, Sustainable Project of the Year, Retrofit Project of the Year, Mechanical Project of the Year, Electrical Project of the Year, and Plumbing Project of the Year; and under people there are Young Engineer of the Year, Project Manager of the Year, Mechanical Engineer of the Year, Electrical Engineer of the Year, Plumbing Engineer of the Year, and MEP Executive of the Year.
