The 2019 winners of the MEP Middle East awards came from different backgrounds, took different approaches to business, and impressed our panel of expert judges in different ways, but by the end of the night they all had at least one thing in common – unbridled joy.
So taken aback was Atkins’ Stephen Page, who picked up the Mechanical Engineer of the Year accolade, that he struggled to put into words his feelings.
In his projects, Page executed innovative engineering solutions using advanced digital design techniques, including Navisworks (BIM).
He also developed vital technical abilities to tackle a wide variety of engineering problems in the fields of ventilation and chilled water design.
Having gained a considerable amount of experience working on site, he developed a practical understanding of constructability issues and site constraints.
Page is part of the digital design revolution, providing valuable input into the creation of new design tools, and is adept in presenting key engineering challenges to the client using the 3D modelling software.
But while we salute the champions of 2019, attention is now firmly on 2020 and the chance for a new raft of nominees to impress our panel of judges.
To give all candidates ample time, the nominations as well as table sales for the MEP Middle East Awards 2020 are now open.
Once you’ve completed the registration process, you are able to work on your nominations and edit them until the nomination deadline on 24 June.
Entry submissions may be accompanied by supporting documentation, such as testimonials, references, project descriptions, photographs and published articles. These should be collated into a single PDF document no larger than 10MB and submitted with the online nomination.
