Danfoss contributes to UN report on cooling

Danfoss recently supported the launch of the new cooling report “Chilling Prospects: Providing Sustainable Cooling for All”, released by the United Nations initiated Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum.

This is the first-ever report to quantify the growing risks and assess the opportunities of the global cooling challenge, while outlining recommendations on how to increase access to affordable and sustainable cooling solutions throughout the world.

The report highlights the important role of the industry to solve the growing cooling demand in a sustainable way, by thinking more holistically about heating and cooling and how to deploy the most efficient existing technology, and developing new, innovative solutions for the most vulnerable.

With up to 70% of the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) energy consumption used for HVAC and cooling applications, consumers will demand a lower cost-of-ownership and more environmentally-friendly solutions.
