Speaking to Gulf Daily News, Al Doseri said: “The ministry can close any site in case of danger, and such a situation must be co-ordinated with the Health Ministry and the authorities concerned with health matters.

“In case of danger, and in case of any threat to human lives, we will close worksites, as a norm.

“But for this, and in the current situation, we must verify the situation in co-ordination with the concerned authorities first, such as the Health Ministry, Civil Defence and the environment authorities.”
