All the eyes of the world watch in frenzied anticipation for the start of Expo 2020, and the country steams forward with major developments all across the land.

That equates to a serious amount of piping, and as a result the UAE plastic pipes and fittings market is estimated to swell by 5% to $625million through to 2022.

But it is not just in this part of the world where demand is booming.

Research by Persistence Market Research states that countries such as the US, India and China are leading contributors to the growth of the construction industry, including residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, and are estimated to contribute more than 50% to the growth of the global construction industry in the near future.

Global sales of plastic pipes surpassed $30billion in 2018, and increasing onshore exploration activity and transportation via pipelines, in turn, is expected to further boost demand in the coming years.

Growing water management activities supported by government initiatives are also touted as key market drivers.
