The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) and Eurovent Middle East have announced the formation of a joint working group to develop Conformity Assessment Schemes for Air Handling Units and Fan Coil Units.

The association of the region’s leading HVACR manufacturers will encourage organisation and coordination of industry stakeholders and is calling on interested manufacturers to join the working group.

Following cooperation to develop a draft AHU (Air Handling Units) conformity assessment scheme, both organisations are eager to increase collaboration and establish regular meetings to work on technical specifications for new Conformity Assessment Schemes. These schemes will denote the first regulations for such equipment in the region and should lead to considerable improvements of indoor air quality and energy efficiency, while also formulating basic safety and quality guidelines.
