Ted Jacob Engineering Group, Green Technologies announce merger

The merger went into effect on 18 June 2018.

Ted Jacob Engineering Group and Green Technologies have annouced their agreement to merge.

The merger went into effect on 18 June 2018 and Green Technologies is now offcially Ted Jacob Engineering Group.

Talking about the merger, Ted Jacob, president, and Mario Seneviratne, principle engineer, stated that both companies have "a good combination to deliver greater projects to its current and future clients".

The merger of Green Technologies into Ted Jacob Engineering Group will greatly expand the latter team’s ability to incorporate expertise and specialisation in sustainability and implementation of LEED and Net Zero Energy design.

Green Technologies Inc was established in Canada in 1997, and subsequently, moved to Dubai in 2004. The company has pioneered the implementation of sustainability and LEED in the Middle East, delivering 665 LEED-certified buildings to date.

It is an engineering consultancy firm that provides engineering services such as retrofitting of existing buildings to improve its energy efficiency and operating performance, design and retrofitting of district cooling plants, and developing of low energy to zero energy buildings.

Ted Jacob Engineering Group is an international engineering design consultancy committed to deliver sustainable design and serving customer needs through the application of innovative technologies. It was founded in 1985 in California, USA, and opened its Dubai branch in 2012 through the acquisition of an engineering team that operated in the Middle East since 1970.
