Al-Futtaim Engineering has been awarded a multimillion-dirham contract to supply York air-conditioning (AC) equipment for Jumeirah Hills, The Palaces in Dubai.
Under the terms of the deal, the UAE-headquartered mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) distributor will provide ducted, package, and fresh-air handling systems.
The company will supply AC equipment for the development’s 60 residential units.
Commenting on the contract, Dr Hayan Sayed, chief executive officer of Al-Futtaim Engineering, said: “We are extremely pleased to be working on this upcoming luxurious community development project, which is located at the heart of [one of] Dubai’s most prestigious neighbourhoods.

Al-Futtaim Engineering’s AC division represents a number of international MEP brands, including York, Krantz, and Airedale. The company has previously supplied AC units for several major GCC projects, such as Warsan Village by Nakheel, Louvre Abu Dhabi, and New York University Abu Dhabi in the UAE; and Doha Festival City in Qatar.
Referring to the Jumeirah Hills, The Palaces contract, Rajesh Bhatia, general manager of Al-Futtaim Engineering’s AC division, said: “This success is further testament [to] Al-Futtaim Engineering’s ability to deliver world-class products to its customers.
“I would like to congratulate our team and [the] Johnson Controls team who worked jointly on this project, and were able to secure the contract.”
Al-Futtaim Engineering did not disclose the exact value of the contract.
