Jean-Pierre Hamel of Black & White Engineering was crowned Project Manager of the Year.
Hamel joined Black and White Engineering over one year ago. Initially, his mission was to manage site supervision and to monitor implementation of the company’s existing procedures. After a detailed audit of the existing system, he proposed a complete overhaul to focus on simple but operational project management oriented procedures, which runs the core company business.
Through this project implementation Hamel established within one year a comprehensive integrated management system, including quality, health and safety and environmental management. This global system is now operational and implemented in the Dubai headquarters and all other company offices.
Hamel impressed the judges with his attention to detail and hands on approach.
“He demonstrably uses the developed processes to mitigate time and prove beneficial to the project and client needs. Further training in QMS methodology has enhanced these inherent skills,” said one judge.
