Judging panel finalised for MEP Middle East Awards

The judging panel for the MEP Middle East Awards, which this year celebrates its 10th anniversary, has now been finalised.

The landmark prize-giving ceremony is set to take place at the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina on 16 November, 2016 (Wednesday).

Our star-studded panel of judges include:

Mel Prichard, interim regional president, Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB);

Hassan Younes, board of governors, UAE Falcon Chapter, Ashrae;

Ivan Brinkley, associate director, Mace Macro Intl;

Thomas Power, director, project development, Select Group;

Mohamed Juma Albahar, senior operations manager, assets management services and solution department, wasl properties;

ChewPieng Ryan, associate, Middle East, Arup, and chair of CIBSE UAE region;

Maged Fares, operations manager, Middle East/Gulf states, BAM International;

Majd Fayyad, technical officer, Emirates Green Building Council;

Christopher Seymour, head of markets and regional development director, Middle East and South Asia, Mott MacDonald;

Tarek Emara, QHSE director, China State Construction Engineering Corporation (Middle East); and

Anwaar Al Shimmari, director, design department, Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MOID).

Next month, the judges will receive the shortlisted entries, before coming together in Dubai, to go through the submissions and decide the winner and highly commended in each of the 16 categories.
