INTEREL has recently won first place at the 2016 Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) TechOvation Awards.
Winning the award for the 2nd consecutive year, INTEREL was recognised for its TCP/IP-based Water Management System.
The integrated room technology manufacturer’s platform enables guests to have instant control over the water flow and temperature of the room.
Guests are able to select personal water preferences through a single interface, rather than adjusting via shower faucets. Integrated with the online guess room management system, the controls also for preferred settings, as well as an ‘eco’ mode that automatically engages energy-efficient settings.
Overall, the system benefits hotel operators with water and energy OPEX savings, while also collating consumption data.
Additionally, CAPEX savings on the plumbing infrastructure on each room are achieved, as the platform replaces the two hot and cold pipes with one guest room water pipe system during the hotel’s construction.
In his acceptance speech, Florian Gallini, Group CEO, commented: “We at INTEREL truly appreciate the support and validation of HTNG and the hospitality industry's technology leaders.”
He added: “We trust the industry will recognize the immense opportunity for water savings and sustainability that the INTEREL Online Water Management System delivers and the social responsibility that comes with it.”
The HTNG TechOvation Award servers as a platform to recognise technological progress within the global hospitality industry. This year’s edition of the event was held HTNG North American Conference in Amelia Island, Florida.
