Saudi Arabian contractor Nesma has been awarded a contract from Emaar Middle East to build a new substation at the developer's Jeddah Gate project, which is close to the old Jeddah Airport.
The deputy general manager of Nesma Electric, Mr Salah Al Sunaid, signed the contract with the Saudi Arabian arm of UAE-based developer Emaar Properties recently.
Mr Sunaid said that the project will give Nesma the chence to display its capabilities in delivering technical power projects - the substation is a 110/13.8kv project near well-known landmarks such as King Abdulaziz University and AlAndalus Mall.
"We would like to express our gratitude towards Emaar for their confidence on NESMA Electric by awarding this important project," he said.
NESMA Electric is a subsidiary company of NESMA Holding Group, which is chaired by Sheikh Saleh Al-Turki.
