Ashghal, the Qatari Public Works Authority, has announced that the submission date for the tender for construction of Phase 3 of the Al Nassriya Area Sewerage will close by November 1, 2011.
The project comprises of the construction of area sewerage for a catchment area for the Al Nassriya and Garraffa sewerage project.
According to Ashghal, the contract will consist of the installation of an 18km long network of 200mm diameter VC sewers through an open cut trench.
In addition, the successful contractor will work on the construction of approximately 620 GRP lined manholes, along with the construction of approximately 950 house connections, including 11km of 150mm VC lateral connections.
The winning tender bid will also the contractor build a 2km long network of 400mm diameter jacking pipe sewers through micro-tunnelling.
“The contractor shall construct, test and maintain the whole of the works in this contract as shown on the drawings and as described in the specifications and bill of quantities,” Ashghal said on their website.
