Engineering, environmental and advisory services firm GHD announced the appointment of James O’Connor as finance director for the Middle East, strengthening the management team in the region.
O’Connor joins from Gulf Related, the real estate development company based in the UAE, where he managed finances for a series of high profile construction projects in the region. He brings with him over 15 years of experience in corporate financial analysis and management through roles in the UK and the Middle East, having previously worked for AECOM and Virgin Media.
In his new role, O’Connor will work closely with the project management team to drive financial performance on a wide spectrum of infrastructure projects in the Middle East. O’Connor is an ACCA qualified accountant, with extensive experience in financial reporting, budget forecasting and risk analysis across major design and construction projects.
