KEO completes pedestrian bridge on Dubai’s Bluewaters Island

The company's scope of work included designing MEP electrical and drainage systems.

KEO International Consultants’ infrastructure division and its allied practice for master planning, urban design and landscape architecture, InSite, have announced the completion of a pedestrian bridge at Bluewaters Island, Dubai.

KEO and InSite team worked closely in collaborating with Besix to deliver this 77-meter span box-girder bridge project.

KEO is the Engineer of Record on the project and handled responsibilities such as performing a third party check for the bridge design, designing MEP electrical and drainage systems as well as designing landscaping and maritime signage for the project.

The total length of the pedestrian journey, from one end to the other is approximately 265 meters via the InSite-designed boardwalk. The bridge links two destinations, namely The Beach opposite JBR and Bluewaters.

KEO stated that the bridge will open to the public soon.
