Rexton Technologies officially inaugurated its new LED manufacturing facility in SAIF Zone, Sharjah.
The $14m (AED50m) LED facility includes a fully integrated and advanced manufacturing unit that is spread across 125,000 square feet manufacturing area and boasts a 3,000 square feet testing lab that specialises in LED light fittings.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by HE Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry and HE Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, director of Saif Zone & Hamriyah Freezone with Lalu Samuel, CMD of Kingston Holdings & Rexton Technologies in the presence of HE Paul Kavanagh, the Ambassador of Ireland to UAE and HE Nimisha Jayant Madhvani, the Ambassador of Uganda to UAE, Representative of the Australian Consulate & Indian Consulate.
The manufacturing facility and lab will also provide advanced testing facility for customers who wish to evaluate the quality of their LED products.
The new corporate office incorporates eco-friendly techniques, green building concept, fitted with double glazed black colour glass, insulated blocks walls, insulated roofing and external walls covered by composite, white aluminium cladding and green surroundings, PIR, light level sensors and a very advanced chiller unit which detects human presence to activate air conditioning.
All the guests were given a guided facility tour of the newly set-up manufacturing facility showcasing complete demonstration of the ultra-modern equipment & technology used at various stages of production, the company said.
